Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and thank you for your interest in our ministry with the Deaf in the country of the Dominican Republic.

Did you know that about 2% of the worlds population was born deaf or became deaf at an early age. The majority of these Deaf use Sign Language as their primary language of communication. It is because of this that most of them have never had the opportunity to receive the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that they can clearly understand.

It was for this reason that the Lord has called us to the Dominican Republic, to bring the Gospel to the Deaf, and to share it with them in a way that they can understand. We arrived in the Dominican Republic on August 2008, and set right to work, planting our first church, Iglesia de Convertidos a Cristo a los Sordos, the first Independent Baptist Church for the Deaf in Dominican Republic, in the capital city, Santo Domingo. Our first service was November 9,2008.

It is from this work that we have then reached out to the Deaf in the country through varying outreach programs, including evangelistic meetings, out reach to the schools for the Deaf, Vacation Bible School, Summer Youth Camp, and many more.

As you look at the information found in this website, it is my hope and prayer that you will get a taste of the passion the Lord has given us for the Deaf, and that you too will prayerfully consider us to become your missionaries to the Deaf here in the Dominican Republic.
